Welcome to Southwest Warrior Jewelry

My name is Eric SanchezOtero. I’m from Los Lunas New Mexico. I’m a former Marine infantryman 0331. I deployed to Iraq in 2005 and again in 2007 with 1/1 Bravo Co 4th PLT. I was deployed to the Al Anbar province Where me and my company saw heavy combat. Upon my return, I found wildland firefighting. I joined the Carson hotshots and spent four years fighting wild land fires all over the western half of the country. It was a great time of reflection and healing in nature. In my off-season, I would silversmith with my Grandpa Jack Gensen. We shared many great memories together from spending time in the studio, to rockhounding, fishing and hunting. Im super grateful that he taught me this art and set an example of what it is to be a good man. It has been a great outlet. It’s the way I express myself and put my energy into creating something that will last much longer than us.
